Eki was born in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, on 24 November 1986. His full name is Cahayadi Kam , in Indonesian it means ‘The eternal light’. Eki’s father and late mother are both Indonesian of Chinese ancestry.
Eki is The Winner of the television singing competition show ‘All Together Now 2020’ in Italia.
He is a Singer-song writer, entertainer, street artist and television personality.
Born in Jakarta, he began Perfoming and singing at the age of eight for several junior singing competitions at local festivals.
At the age of 22, he joined Avenue Band and performed locally with them.
He later joined another band and started performing at local bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants as a singer for Superkustik Jakarta and Monkey Groove. They also performed at local events, and weddings. He also performed for some big events around Southeast Asia.
It was while performing in Jakarta that Eki met his future wife Anna Benaglia, a young Italian lady vacationing in Jakarta who happened to catch his performance. The rest was history.
After 7 years together they decided to get married and they left Indonesia to start a life together in Milan, Italy. After one year struggling to get a foothold in the Milan music scene, he started to sing in the city center of Milan until one talent scout found him and asked him to audition for ‘All Together Now,’ a famous television singing competition. He passed the auditions and advanced to the Top 12 finalists. Eki is the only Asian contestant on the show.
